My son was 2 years old when I had mine and that was really hard. I would
wait until your children are a little older. I was tired from lack of food
and in the first 6 months you don't always feel so great. I don't regret
it for a minute but I couldn't have imagined trying to do with a baby.

I am pregnant now and my Dr. told me when my baby is 6 wks old we can
proceed. But he did warn me it will be VERY hard. Seeing has how I
wouldn't be able to pick my little ones up. I have a 3 yr. old 7 mo old and
one on the way. So be careful and make sure you have someone to help you!
GOOD LUCK!

i don't have any children, but have had the surgery and can tell you that
you will definantely need an awesome support system. it is hard enough to
stay focused on what you need to do and how to eat and drink and take
vitamins without having children so i can only imagine what it would be
like with little ones. just make sure you have lots of good support and it
needs to be more than just one person. good luck, Holly

I am 12 days post op and have a 2 year old and it has been quite difficult.
Thank goodness my 15yo is so helpful and my husband is trying but I don't
think he gets it

I just had my RNY 8 weeks ago, and I was 7 weeks postpartum, I had a weight
limit of under 15lbs. to lift, they said preferably 10lbs. I did have my
Mother stay with us to help with my newborn, also I am married with a 12
y/o daughter, so I did have some help, BUT I wouldn't change it for
anything, YES it was hard, but it is temporary hardship, opposed to not
having the surgery until way later....I opted for the inconvience and
sucked it up! I AM VERY GLAD I DID IT NOW. ( DO be very careful not to tear
a muscle though, :O) Hope this helps. ~Suzanne~
