Question:
Ischemic bowel in relation to GBP RNY Pre-op

If there is anyone out there who has this, had this or knows about it in relation to RNY, please share it with me. I have done a search online, and the information is inconsistent.    — nuevosueno (posted on April 22, 2006)

Was this a result of intussuception or small bowel obstruction? Or was it immediately post? Not an internal hernia, right?

No, I am pre-op, it just happened, I don't know why. I took a laxative as I was have some "trouble" the next day, I had such pain, I passed out, they rushed me to the ER and there was blood, etc and the pain was unbearable. After a lot of testing this is what the Gastroenteroligist told me.
