Question:
How can I tighten up my legs?
I am 17 years old, 6'1" I weigh 225. I have been big for the past few years. However, I have lost 40 lbs over the past few years. My legs are REALLY flabby. Is there any way that they will tighten up fully? Will my skin stretch back? I exercise daily, running. What can I do to tighen my legs? — tina B. (posted on November 6, 2005)

plastic surgery ....skin has no muscles---there is nothing you can do if it
doenst shrink back on its own ...you can build up your leg muscles to take
care of a little bit of the excess skin (note the words little bit)

all, but most of the posters are middle age, and far more obese for way t
hen you,I suggest you visit teen forum, and the light weight forum and get
some info their. unless you roller coast back up, I would even put off
surgery.

Wow Tina -- you are tall -- but I guess you've heard that before. Although
not a professional, I agree with the other fellas -- fitness. I would
hazard a guess that most of your weight comes from your height and theres
isn't much you can do about that. I'd say do leg extensions, leg curls --
do a lot of weight training that will benefit your legs and thighs. Even
if you find a personal trainer to perform an evaluation and help you get on
the correct exercises. I read someplace that the elasticity of the skin of
the female -- especially among white female joggers, that over time they
will loose the elasticity of their skin. Were your legs fat prior to
loosing weight? I'm sure there are some exercises for the legs and thighs
that could be done to tone up --just have to find the right exercises.

*sigh* I look up at you from my 5'1" and sigh with admiration and
envy! LOL. Since you are only seventeen, you should give it a year before
going the plastic surgery route, because your skin may still be supple
enough to reabsorb!
