I am 5'6" and started at 245-250 (depending on which scale you go by).
I had lost about 60 lbs. by 4 months so your loss looks great! I did have
a couple of really long plateaus and thought it was over, then start losing
again slowly. Now 10 months post-op and have a normal BMI and in the
normal range for body fat!! Yippeee! You can check out the progress by
date on my profile page.

Angie, I started at 1 pound less than you, 5'3", and at 7 months
post-op I am down 79. So, I think that 75 in 4 months is incredible. And
it does slow down..has to! Last month I lost 6 and this month, which is
over for me in about a week, only 4 so far...but slow is better than none!

I'm 5'4, started at 249 and have lost 49 pounds as of today (3 mos postop).
Your loss sounds great! I find that the plateaus on the scale (one just
ended) give my body a chance to "catch up" with the loss. You
are not alone! That window they talk about is still wide open for you --
have you considered looking at food intake (fitday.com) and maybe fine
tuning the exercise? Good luck.

Angie, A year ago I started out at 5'5.5" and 244. My one year
anniversary will be on the 27th of this month. I am now 5'6" and
hover around 137. The weight will start coming off a little slower, and a
little slower, month by month, but you are far from the end of your
journey!

I started at 5' 6" and 266.....my one year anniversary is in a couple
weeks and I am now at 155-160. I was at about the same as you at 4 mos.
It does slow down, and there are times that you think it has stoped
alltogether, but it hasnt. I have lost a total of 10lbs since June (I
think) It comes off slowly.....but it does come off the closer you get to
goal. I got upset about a month ago that I wasnt losing faster and that I
still am in a 12 at one year out. After voicing this...my husband looked
at me with disbelief on his face....He said 'Becky, did you ever think you
would be back in a 12.....EVER? Why is it that now it is not good enough?'
He has a very good point. When I started this whole thing...I said that I
would be happpy if I could just be under 200 lbs. After thinking about
this for a while...If i dont lose another pound, I am happy. I would love
to be able to put on an 8, only because I never have....but oh well......I
look good the way I am now and am starting to accept the fact that Im not
huge anymore. Dont compare...stop it now!!! Your body will stop when its
comfortable, and you will be thinner than you think when it does. It takes
much longer for your head to catch up than it does your body.
