Well, I have heard people getting pregnant 3 weeks after surgery, so I hope
that answers your question! I am a little over 3 weeks post op and my
boyfriend is coming to see me next week. We haven't seen each other since
March, so i'll let you know! ;)

My husband and I waited for about 4 weeks post surgery. I wanted to make
sure that there wouldn't be any problems with my incision. According to
BTC, it's typically after your 3 week check-up.

My doc said as soon as it was comfortable...we managed to wait about a week
after open RNY, you have to be creative with positions, tho!!

My surgeon said "when he says so", but I had NO interest in it
for about 2 months because I was sore/tender and having shooting pains when
I put pressure on my stomach at all for the first 2-3 months. After about 3
months, I was back to normal. Be careful if you have an open RNY, all that
squirmin' around could open your internal stitches and make you prone to
hernias.

I asked my doc that same question. He said that as long as I was
comfortable and there wasn't gymnastics involved, lol, that one week post
op was acceptable. Well, I waited 5 days and all was fine. Good luck!!
