Question:
I had my surgeon's consult Nov .2 and now what will I need to do (I.E., TESTS, ETC)?
I KNOW BTC WILL FILE THE NECESSARY PAPERS WITH MY INSURANCE. BUT AS FAR AS PRE-TESTING, IF YOU HAVE BEEN A BTC PATIENT IN GROVE CITY, OH, WHAT ELSE WILL I BE EXPECTED TO DO? — GINA K. (posted on November 6, 2001)

I had my consult on Nov 1st.
Your DR. should have told you what tests you need.
Good Luck!

Hi! After the first consult I assume they have your insurance information;
now you'll have to wait to get approval in writing and then the BTC will
call to schedule the surgery. Usually one or two weeks prior to surgery
they will schedule the pre-op test.Good luck... and be patient cause this
could be a long wait!!!

My surgeon did not tell me any kind of testing. However, he does have a
pre-op education class. Does your MD do this?
If not, contact your surgeon and/or PCP for tests before having surgery.
