I have Blue Shield Select PPO. You have a $2,000 maximum out of pocket per
person per year. That means if you go to a select surgeon and hospital the
most it can cost you is $2,000. This isn't bad compared to 30,000. and
yes the hospital will be happy to set up a payment plan for you to pay your
share. Good luck and God's blessings Jeanne

Blue Cross/Blue Shield is all one policy. Blue Cross usually pays the
doctors fees and things, Blue Shield pays the hospital and such. It
depends on the policy you have as to what your out of pocket expenses will
be. I have a 750 deductible and then I pay a max of additional 1250 then
the insurance company covers it 100%. Most doctors will take payments as
the hospitals as well.
