One of my incisions was right where my bra strap was so I couldn't wear a
bra because it was sore.

I still can't wear a bra because of where one incision is. It was a week
on Wed past. The girls are okay because hidden in loose clothing. Don't
worry

I didn't wear a bra when I was home but the doctor told me to put a bandaid
over the incision when wearing one. He said it would still heal without
the bandaid but the bandaid would help it stay really closed so the scar
would be minimal. Best of luck.

I wore a bra after surgery because my breast were so heavy they made my
incisions hurt. The bra relieved some weight.

Even when I wasn't wearing a bra, I wore a stretchy camisole, because my
girls need constant support, and the camisole felt good. It kept loose
clothing from irritating the incisions. Good luck!

I have always worn underwire, but after surgery, a bra was just too painful
for me. But, I'm too big to go without and was uncomfy that way, too. I
ended up buying a couple athletic tops (with light shelf bra) at walmart or
target or something, and I wore those quite awhile. It took me some time
to wear a regular bra for any length of time again.

My aunt had this surgery 15 years ago, so, when I had mine 2 months ago she
came up to take care of me and fill me with all kinds of incredibly helpful
knowledge! One thing was to wear a sports bra even when sleeping. (That was
not something I wanted to do.) Her reasoning was to help prevent as much
sagging as possible. While you lose weight, the skin won't likely keep up
and the girls become "pendulous". (That's what it will say on
your autopsy ladies...I DEFINITELY don't want that!!!) It's a dark thought,
but, it's my motivation. Anyway, the sports bra hols the girls up when skin
won't and that gives skin more time to tighten up.

I just had surgery and a find wearing a lightweight sports bra helps me and
keeps them away from the g-tube and incisions

Bra... a must have post surgery! I wear one all the time! Doesn't mean the
girls aren't leaving me any slower ( UGH!) but at least they are not
pointing at my toes (Yet)!
