Question:
Intestinal cramping
I had my surgery almost five years ago and lately I have been having what feels like charlie horses in my intestines and they are increasing in frequency, has any one else had this occur? — wolfmamma38 (posted on December 4, 2009)

Your profile does not state what surgery you had done. But your intestines
could become twisted and could keep you from moving your bowels
eventually. And it could be built up scare tissue. The best thing to due is
call your pcp or surgeon, this needs to be checked to be on the safe side.

i agree with calling your dr but i can also say i am no stranger to scar
tissue and i have never heard anyone else say it feels like charlie
horses.it's the only way i have ever been able to describe the pain.that is
exactly what painful scar tissue feels like.i have had three kidney
surgeries, gall bladder surgery and tubes tied.i have scar tissue really bad
in kidney area and it feels like a charlie horse in my kidney.talk about
something that will bring you to your knees...lol but again call and make
appointment with your dr.and i can already tell you there is nothing much
you can do about scar tissue.best wishes please let us know what you find
out.

Finally! Other people who can only describe this pain as a charlie horse in
your stomach! I have been having these for over a year and no one could
understand. It's nice to know I am not alone! I have had all tests done and
nothing is wrong so there is nothing they can do for me~ it comes and goes
so I have just learned to deal with it. If anyone figures out a trick to
fix this, let me in on it!
