Question:
Please advise what the difference is between whey, designer whey, and whey Isolate.
I am less than 2 weeks pre opt and I purchased a protein shake mix that is 50 designer whey and 50 soy. I was told whey protein isolate is best however I noticed this particular brand has lots more vitamins than most. Please share. Thanks — My1Comp (posted on June 3, 2009)

Hi there, i am also only out of surgery and i spent about an hour
questioning the girl at gnc store to see what this meant. Your right, iso
is the best, it contains the most pure protein, then there is blended ones
that are alittle lower in the protein level but generally the same
otherwise. It depends what other stuff you want to get from your drink.
Also i was told that woman cannot effectively take more than thirty grams
of protein per serving anyways, so as long as you like them, i'd say stick
with it. My biggest problem is finding one i can stomach. Good luck, and
congrats. Karrie

I am 2 years post op and was told to use whey isolate for the reasons
already stated. Good luck, Lakesha! You'll be happy you made this decision.
