Question:
Does anyone know of an easy way to buy a CPAP machine?

I need the CPAP before they can schedule me for surgery. My insurance want over $300 for it. I don't mind if it's a used one. I've looked at craigslist but no one is selling one in my area. Have any other suggestions??    — megan23 (posted on May 21, 2008)

i had to have one also. the neurologist that did the sleep study contacted a respiratory company and i had one the next day. i never got the bill that has been about a month ago. my surgeon required me to have it 2 weeks prior or he would cancel surgery. maybe you can call respiratory company in your area and inquire about used ones. are you able to rent one temporarily or maybe try ebay. then you can resell it when it is no longer of use to you.

I would be happy to sell you mine but I do not know where you live. It is basicly new as I only used it for about a month. You can contact me through my profile if you would like to talk more about it.

I actually have 2. I would be more than happy to give it to you if you can pay for shipping. The other thing is you would need to have it sterilized since it's been used.

I have one that I will gladly sell you for one third of the price plus shipping. Let me know. Thank you. Send me an email. [email protected] I believe the setting is at 10. My Cpap was used less than 10 times. Less than 6 months old.

I worked at a sleep lab for over 5 years.....you need your sleep study report, to find out what pressure you should be set at. $300 is a steal for a CPAP machine. Please do not purchase this on ebay, if the pressure is not right for you it can cause more serious problems!!!!! You would be better off without ! Everybody's pressure is different...Apnea varies!!
