hi i would like to get a tummy tuck and breast reduction. when can i get in a pool?

Let me get this right you are going on vacation 5 weeks after a tummy tuck and breast reduction??? That is serious surgery and you are going to need 6 weeks before you do much of anything, ESPECIALLY if you have muscle repair with your tummy tuck. Just because it's cosmetic surgery doesn't make it any less serious. You need to really reconsider. If the vacation is that important then go have fun THEN come back and have the surgery when you can concentrate on your recovery and not rush yourself.

No, you will not be able to get your scars wet or in the sun. My Dr. wanted me to wait 3 months before I went on vacation. I had a tummy tuck, lipo and breat augmentation in in August. Best thing I ever did. I am still feeling pains and twinges 6 months later. My Dr. said it takes up to a year to heal. You will probably feel pretty tired and worn out 5 weeks after surgery. I went back to work 3 weeks later and it kicked my butt! It took me about another 2 weeks just to get back into the swing of things. If anyway possible schedule your vacation later or your surgery earlier. You will be glad you did because it sure felt good to show off that flat belly! Best wishes!
