Congratulations on your upcoming surgery, Brianne! My surgeon's
nutritionist calculates individual requirements. Everyone is different;
there's no across-the-board requirement.

You'll find lots of different answers to this one. My nutritionist wants
me doing between 60 and 75 gm each day.

First of all my suggestion is to start taking Biotin (to help prevent hair
loss-- it won't prevent it totally but it will slow it down or make it not
as bad). Now it differs from surgeon to surgeon. I was told a minimum of
70 grams each and every day. If you don't get in your recomended amount,
you can experience hair loss the next month. Granted not everyone does
have hair loss but some do and some majorily. Good luck and God bless!

Every surgeon is different. I've heard as low as 55 and as high as 75. My
surgeon's office is a minimum of 70; however, I don't think they will mind
if you over.

Like everyone has said, it does vary by doctors. Mine says to get 65-75
grams per day.

My instructions were to consume 50 grams of protein per day. This can be in
any form, not just protein whey powder concoctions. Remember that 50 grams
of the powder contains LESS than 50 grams of protein because that powder is
not pure protein. Same thing is true for a steak (beef) or any other
"high protein" food.
