I haven't had my wls surgery yet but I was cut from side to side when I had
a kidney transplant. I had that same sensation. They told me it was
adhesions, which pretty much amounts to scar tissue sort of pulling on the
inside. I don't know if it will help or not, but I just had surgery on my
hand they told me to massage the scar in round but firm motions. It helps
to either break up or prevent scar tissue. I don't know about the bloating
but I am glad you are seing your doc. You might want to give them a call
and tell them about it and see if they can't work you in a bit earlier.
Good luck,
Lynn W.

Your description of tingling and pins and needles makes me think of
neuropathic pain. This type of pain is caused by damaged or malfunctioning
nerve fibers.
Herpes Zoster, the chicken pox virus, can become active again and causes
Shingles. The virus uses nerve cells to replicate and this causes the
burning/tingling/stabbing sensation that is characteristic of nerve pain.
You didn't mention a rash or lesions so I doubt you have Shingles but
thought I would mention it just in case.
As far as the bloating goes, you might want to start a food and symptom
journal. This will give you and the doctor a lot more to work with (as far
as figuring out the cause) than if you just go in and say, "I'm
feeling bloated." I would suggest including what food you eat each
day and whether or not you this increases, decreases, or doesn't affect the
bloating. A description of the symptoms, how bad it is, and how long it
lasts is very important. If you are doing anything to treat the bloating
(heating pad, GasX, etc.), keep track of this and include whether or not
you get any relief.
The more info you can provide the doctor with the better.
Hope you feel better.
