Question:
Anyone use Dr. Ronald Moore, Jr in Ft Laud for self-pay RNY

I'm a self-pay "lightweight" (I don't feel too light since I need to lose about 95 lbs) and have met with Dr. Moore and really like him. Has anyone had any experience with him? I'm debating LAP BAND vs RNY and am leaning toward the RNY because I don't fully trust my self to be diligent enough with the band. And, after I have to pay all that $$, I want to increase my chances of long-term success.    — LauraLew (posted on April 28, 2006)

I am a patient of Dr. Ronald Moore. I had Lap RNY on 11/10/2005. I am very happy with him. Of course, he knows his stuff. My surgery was a suceess. I have lost a total of 62lbs so far. I am proud to say he has a great follow up plan which some doctors didn't have back in the days. I cannot speak about the band because I didn't research that at all. I was 100% sure that I wanted the RNY procedure but I didn't self pay. I have insurance. I just wanted to let you know that you are in great hands and he is definitely a reputable surgeon.
