Question:
Stomach/adominal swelling

After I eat the upper portion of my stomach swell and I get very gassy and uncomfortable. Before you ask Idid see my physician he prescibed protonics. however the problem still persist.    — lj (posted on January 2, 2006)

Which surgery did you have and when was it? What are you eating or drinking? Does it happen every time? How long after eating/drinking?

I really don't have an answer. I am suffering from the same thing, but I have not yet gone to or called my doctor. Just what is protonics?

wls 10-25-04 295/220 I believe what you have is a hernia. I have the same situation when I laugh and touch right at my navel or slightly to the lt or rt there is a hard bulge. Talk with your wls center. I am due for a repair in the next 3 months along with a hyst.

I had have the same problem. It was NOT a hernia. The surgeon said that's what happens when you're gassy. When you eat foods that make you gassy your belly swells. Mine stick out like I'm 3 months preggers. I also suffer from acid reflux so mine happen often then others.
