Question:
Can we bowl after surgery?
I am 3 1/2 months out and down 66.5 pounds and extremely happy. I would love to start bowling again with my mother and son. My ball is 10 pounds. Do you think this is okay? Thanks. — Ronika D. (posted on August 26, 2003)

Ask your Doc to make sure. It doesn't sound like and issue at all - bowling
is an excersize!

Youn need to check with your Dr on this one. My surgeon said no heavy
lifting for 6 months. Anything 10 lbs and ove was considered heavy. It also
depends on when the league starts. Fall might not. Winter maybe. Summer -
probably.

Gosh I have been lifting since 3-4 weeks out. We show dogs and I groom and
wash daily. They weigh between 15 and 20lbs. I don't know why you
couldn't bowl.

<font color="007000" face="tahoma">I went bowling
a couple of weekends ago, and I just passed by 4 month mark. I only had a
weight lifting restriction for the first 6 weeks. I say go for it and have
fun!!</font>
