Question:
when we are in the liquid stage can we have regular soups strained?

like chicken noodle, progresso soups, ect... will the spices and herbs be to much on my new tummy? i just need variety, my surgery is this wed. june 11th. i going to do my shopping for when i come home. and suggestions? thanks a bunch amos family! I used canned broth and instant Herb-ox for my broths. I of course went with the low fat and sodium ones. I did not have a problem. There really are not too many spices in the canned/instant broths. I pretty much have a cast iron stomach so they did not bother me.

yes to the strained soups and many posties find they love spices and such after surgery. Good luck on the 11th!

When I was at the stage, my surgeon's office recommended taking the Healthy Choice Chicken/Noodle soup and blenderizing it. That made it smooth where I could handle it and a little seasoning in it made it pretty spicy for me so I felt like I'd really had a meal.
