My mother in law has fibromyilsia and she takes like a quarter of flexeril
at a time. I would definatly ask your dr first to make sure it is safe for
you.

I am allowed to take it, but ask your surgeon just to be sure that there
are not special circumstances in your particular case.

I am assuming you are asking about FIBROMYALGIA. My husband and I both
have this. He takes flexorel and elavil both. Of course, he has not had
wls. I was taking 800mg IBrophen 4 times a day until surgery and since, I
am trying to get along on tylenol. That isn't working too well.

I too, have fibromyalgia. Pre-op I took a 4mg tablet of zanaflex - post-op
I take 1/4 of a tablet and it has the same effect. My surgeon said I could
resume prior meds and I have had no problems with taking the Zanaflex.
Since Zanaflex and Flexeril are both muscle relaxers and are not time
released, my thought is it would be fine to take post-op. It may take some
experimenting to achieve the correct effect with the right dose.
