Question:
Any ideas what this could be?? Pain at 10 weeks post op

Hi, I had surgery about 10 weeks ago, no complications and have done very well so far. 3 days ago I started having pain just to the right of my insision that has gotten to where its a sharp "tearing" type pain simalar to the pain we have early post-op. I have not had pain since about 3-4 weeks so I'm wondering what this might be. I have no other symptoms at this time. YES, I am calling the Dr in the a.m but I want to be prepared for whatever it might be. Hernia? adhesion? Thanks in advance!    — Jenee B. (posted on September 5, 2001)

I also had pain to the right of my incision at two weeks post-op (I am now 10 wks post op). Mine was a pulled muscle that took 6 weeks to heal. I took ibuprofen every 4 hours and Aleve at night and started the ritual all over again the next day. It helped but I had to stay on top of it. Good luck!
