Most states have a toll free number for customer support. Call them and ask if they cover procedure code 438.46 for RNY or 438.47 for lap rny or find the procedure code for the surgery you want. I've found "specialized" surgeons are a lot less likely to take Medicaid than a "general" surgeon who does other procedures but still has exp in the bariatrich surgery field. This doesn't mean the latter are less qualified, just more likely to accept your insurance.
