Question:
Having pain 11 days post-op

Just wondering here, is it normal to have almost all pain go away for a few days(at 8-9 days post op) and then have some come back? I have some pain right around my belly button that hurts when I move and walk now and if I push right there its tender.....wasn' like this before and its a deep pain, not the insicion. thanks    — Jenee B. I was exactly the same way. i am 4 weeks post op and had terrible pain around the belly button after 2 weeks. Some pains I am now getting at 4 weeks, my surgeon says this is all normal when everything is tightening up and recovering from the surgery. But if you have any concerns at all ask your own surgeon. Always be on the safe side :o)

Hi Jenee! When was your surgery? Mine was 6/26- so I think we are about the same timeframe post-op. I started having that pain yesterday. It's not in my incision.. kinda to the right of my belly button & feels like I pulled something. Please let me know if you find out what it is or just want to compare notes! I haven't gone through wls, but the pain you've all described is exactly like the pain I experienced after my last c-section (I've had 2). I couldn't sleep on my right side, couldn't always bend in certain ways and thought the worst (cance, etc). Doc ran tests, xrays, GIs and there was nothing....eventually it went away (12 months later). Maybe this occurs with abdominal surgeries in general.
