I carry a LARGE purse that usually has any vitamins or other meds I may take in the afternoon, also a bottle of water and a protein bar of some sort. I also have extra bottles of water in my vehicle and the individual packets of Crystal Light in the glove box. If it's a day trip, I then pack a small cooler with water, fruit (apples) or string cheese. Hope this helps.

Sometimes my blood sugar drops all of a sudden with no reason. I carry a small bag of nuts or a few hard candies with me just in case. It happened to me just the other day at the Dr.s office with my daughter, and I didn't have anything with me at the time. Thankfully someone I knew was there with some hard candies, she gave me one and I was fine after a few minutes. As for the water, water bottles are best for travel. good luck!! Tammie

For traveling, I went to the drug store and got two week long containers and marked one AM and one PM. Iput all my pills in it. Then the doc gave me some more vitimuns that I needed to take aqt Noon,soIwent back and bought 4 more, so I have two weeks supply and have two for noon as well. It is fine to swnack on one or two ounces of nuts, or triscut crackers if your feel that you Blood Sugar is low. You can buy a meter with a free rebate to get your money back but make sure that your insurance will pay for the strips. Just report that ayou are Hypoglicimic. I check my blood sugar several times a day to make sure I am staying above 90, but some time activity will bring you below,so I more to 4 meals a day, and eatone hour earlier for lunch two hours early for dinner and a snack at 8PM.Don't eat later than 8:00 PM as it is not good to go to bed on a full stomach. Hope this helps.Best of Success.

I have a big water bottle that I fill up and sip on most of the day. I also almost always have a Boost Glucose Control shake with me. They don't have to be refridgerated, and nicely take care of low blood sugar, or they make a great snack too. I take a lot of my vitamins at night, so I just keep em in the car if I'm going away, or take them when I'm home. Good luck!

Always take a cooler with you on road trips or when you are away from home. Freeze bottles of water to use as ice, and they'll be nice and cold when you are ready to use them. As for vitamins, pack a small container with your daily doses and carry it with you. I carry my vitamins, a bottle of water and a small snack (fiber bar, nuts or crackers) in my large purse.

There are actually glucose tablets you can buy at the pharmacy. I carry them with me and when I start getting the shakes I take one of those. They come in a variety of flavors and work great for me.
