Sure, you go back to the diet that you first started with about a month
after surgery, and eat three meals a day that are about 3-4 oz each total
where 70% of your calories are from protein sources, and the rest is just
frest vegatables and fruit. Drop all carbs, no bread, rice pasta and
nothing packaged. Do this for just thirty days and make sure that you
total carories are 25% less then you are eating now, while stepping up your
excersize by 30% more each day. Take one day a week to rest and don't go
to the gym. Don't even taste a desert during the 30 days and you will see
the lose start to drop much quicker. Best of Succes to you.

Hello there,
I am no where near goal, but have been around quite a few people who are
either very close or in maintenance after goal and can tell you about their
experiences.
They and our surgeon both agree that the last few pounds seemed to be the
hardest. He asks them to document their intake and very closely monitor
their carb intake while exercising every day. Back to basics as the
previous writer noted. Protein, no carbs, lots of water and exercise.
You've come so far, just keep up the good work- you know what to do. Good
luck.

I started slowind down a 14 months after surgery. I just went back to the
way I used to eat when I first got my surgery done. I am now 9 years post
op and have passed my goal. I live on a diet every day of my life.

Do not eat more than what you eat now. This is where you should weigh your
food and make sure the majority of your meal is dense protein...and cut
back any bad habits you might have started like candy, chocolate or bread
(bagels, muffins, deserts, chips or pretzels) GET RID of those now and do
not go back to them except in moderation once in a while...Make sure you
drink a lot of water in between meals to help flush your body and keep you
full inbetween meals and you might add a protein drink to up your protein
if you are not drinking one. Try to eat no more than 4 ounces meat and 2
ounces veggie or salad per meal and nuts or cheeses , yogurts and softer
proteins in between meals...Good luck!
