Remember and NEVER forget, "portion control" goes hand in hand
with this surgery. So if you are eating more , eat less. Remember the
surgery is only a tool. Take it from someone who has gained back 90 pounds
of the 222 pounds I lost. I wish you all the best!!

After surgery, you felt "fullness" because you were swollen. Now
that the swelling has gone down, your appetite is back to normal...which is
perfectly normal. It is up to you to eat right and watch your portions.
After you get your fill, your band will help you do that. Until
then...it's all up to you. Good luck!

I am only 3 days out (lapband) but feel hungry as well. I am on full
liquid protein for two weeks. I know I am only to have 1/4 cup 3 -4 times
a day but I have had much more than that. Probably a total of 2 cups
protein drinks plus all my water plus a jello or 2 and a popsicle. How do
you know that you can eat more each day are you still on liquids? Are you
drinking water all day? I had a tough time getting the liquid vitamins
down today. Took me over 2 hours for the 8oz of water mix. I had no
problems the past 2 days home but today I am having a little trouble
swallowing when I try to drink. I have to say I really miss chewing. Hang
in there!

This is absolutely normal. I lost little to no weight until my 3rd fill.
This is a time where you need to be more careful about food choices and
portion control

Natalie, This totally normal. Remember that after surgery, you were
swollen and could hardly eat. As time goes on in the healing process the
swelling begins to diminish and you are able to eat more and more. Once
all the swelling is down, you may be able to eat like you did before
surgery. It will be like nothing is there. That is why you need fills.
Once you start your fills, you will have restriction again like you did
right after surgery with the swelling. Don't panic, this is totally
normal. Good Luck - Judy

Nat....Like the other posts stated this is natural and it depends on the
person and the amount of swelling . My wife and I had our lapband procedure
on the same day, she start craving food about three days after the
procedure while it took me nearly a month. So of her pre-surgery diet
weight came back until she got the first fill and now she is 45pounds down
since Oct 07, my craving for more food came right at the time I got my
first fill so I was lucky, bit everyone is different.
Best wishes....
