You might want to look into the new procedure call Stomaphyx... You can
find it here in the revision forum.
Good luck

You might try the cottage cheese test to determine the actual size of your
pouch; on a empty stomach first thing in the morning eat as much small curd
cottage cheese as you can until you are just feeling full. Subtract the
amount left in the cottage cheese container from the carton's sold volume,
and you will know the size of your pouch; 3 oz, 5 oz, etc.
If you pouch still holds only 3 to 6 oz, you are in the normal range for a
mature pouch.
If you are still within the range, then start back with the basics of no
liquid before/after meals, eat solid protein first, stop eating when you
start to feel full, and stop eating regardless after 15 minutes. Avoid
carbs and fats as much as possible.
Good luck!

I also thought that my pouch was already too big right after surgery. Then
I read somewhere on the internet that someone else said that they never
experienced that full feeling before surgery so maybe they don't even know
what it feels like. I can relate to that, so in order for me to have any
kind of freedom from eating too little or too much, I weigh and measure
everything. This way I know I am getting my nutrients and the essentials
that I need and that I am not overeating and risking stretching my pouch.
Good luck to you and I hope you will go back to the basics and weigh and
measure everything. Sue

Have you kept a food diary and seen a nutronist? How long did it take to
eat your large meal right after surgery?
