Question:
almost 2 months and I stopped losing and started gaining

I've only lost 35 lbs and then I just stopped losing,I understand people go through plateaus but I'm not sure if you're supposed to be gaining and I am, it goes up and down, not very much only around 2 lbs but its still very frustrating, I have no clue what I'm doing wrong, can someone please lend some advice?    — kickstyle (posted on May 9, 2007)

Keesha, if you are doing all the right stuff, protein, water, exercise, then you are fine. You don't way what you are doing, but the best thing you can do for yourself is to step up your water and exercise, but don't neglect your protein. You are right, everyone loses different, and only weigh once a week, more than that is just asking for discouragement. Pick a day and do it once a week, step up the exercise and water, and stick to the basics, and you will be moving the right direction soon. Take care, Patricia P.

Don't let it frustrate you -- I'm almost 3 months out and see 2 lbs. here and then they go away and then I'll lose maybe 3 more so don't let it bother you

I am going to give you one of the secrets of success... are you ready?? "Stop weighing yourself daily" You will drive yourself crazy... it sounds like it is already happening.... You will fluctuate (naturally) up to 5 lbs daily up OR down. If you rely on the daily weight, you will sabotage yourself... I was told this by my surgeon, I have taken it to heart and now weigh myself weekly.... it was hard to do at first, but what a life saver. I am down 92lbs, and each time that I step on the scale the direction is down!!! So be gentle with yourself... happy losing....
