Question:
I am having pain/left side where the port was place anyone else have complications?

I had the lap band and wondered if anyone has had problems with the port area. I have to go for a CT Scan this week. It is swollen and painful.....??? I feel alone. I haven't had any and I had Open RNY but I just wanted to Congratulate you on your Success... I'm sorry your feeling alone... where you located? I'm in Kentucky... we are all here if that helps any... Things will get better... I'm proud of you for being your age and taking the steps to a better healthier life...

Hey Brenda. My port area was sore for several weeks after surgery, but it wasn't swollen. I hope the CT scan will clear things up. Good for you for being on top of things. And BTW .. I was off for 6 weeks. And needed every single day of it. I was 33 at the time, but I just don't bounce back from stuff like others do. Good luck!
