Question:
How long after RNY surgery does one have to wait before trying to get plastics?

I am hopeful that I won't need any once I've had the surgery, but I am 29 and have had 2 c-section's, I already have a bit of an over hang, and have problems with rashes and sores already? any help is appreciated! 242    — HAILEY (posted on February 16, 2006)

Hello Generally speaking its at least a year, a year and a half. You will need to be at your goal weight, for awhile to stabilize out so that you don't gain or lose after plastics well not gain or lose too bad at least. Also its a decision you and your surgeon should make together. good luck!

PS usually want you to be close to goal before they do any plastics. If you have a lot more to loose then what s/he does will have to be done all over again. I waited until I was 2 years out.
