Question:
I am thinking about doing that Hollywood 2 Day Diet.

I am thinking about doing that Hollywood Diet. It is where you drink think liquid for 2 days and you lose weight. Do you all think this would be okay? Some days I only drink liquid anyway. I need your advice, I am planning on doing it this weekend.    — ANN P. (posted on October 14, 2003)

That stuff is nasty!!! If you are post-op it is too full with the "wrong" ingredients for you. I tried it pre-op to lose some weight before the surgery, I made it thru the first day and then had the BIGGEST bellyache ever. I don't know, just make sure you read the label. You'd probably be better with upping your water. Be careful.

Hi Ann. I'm confused. Why would you want to try the Hollywood Diet? From your profile it looks like you are about a month post-op. You are losing weight at a great pace and I don't understand why you would want to take a nasty tasty (diuretic) drink that is probably full of stuff we don't need (sugar?). Concentrate on drinking your water, getting in your protein, and starting to eat healthy food.

The "Miracle Diet" is 1/4 cup of pineapple juice, mixed with 1 cup apple juice, mixed with 1 cup orange juice over ice and you drink it every 4 hours with water between. Basically it's empty calories, you replace food calories with juice calories. And some people could "dump" and the juice sugars. It's a quick fix, but doesn't stay off. And post-op you NEED your foods and proteins!!! i wouldn't try this. I am a s-l-o-w loser too compaired to most, but it'll come off, and a lot more healthier then a juice diet full of sugars!! keep up your good work and hang in there!!!!! :)

If it worked so well it would be all over the news, not just in paid ads in the enquirer
