Grace,
I am also 6 days post op and am having lots of strange feelings in my gut
which all bring up the fear that I moved too much too soon. I was just
thinking that I would love to communicate with someone who has just had the
surgery since friends I know who are long time post-ops tend to forget some
of these things.
Can you write to me and we can compare notes?

Not to worry. I had the same thing happen to me. My surgeon says it's the
pulling from where he attached the distal stomach to my abdominal wall. It
took about a month or two for it to go away. Good luck and happy
losing...Diane N ~~~~~~~~~www.WeightlossSurgery.ws~~~~~~~~~

I am 17 days post-op and have the exact same feeling in teh exact same
place. My doc said that is the place where 90% of the work for the lap is
done!! It sure is weird. Hang in there.

I had my surgery LAP RNY on 03-05-03. I had this exact same pain on the
left side for about 2-3 weeks. My surgeon said it was normal, due to all
the work they do in that area. It has been just over a month now and the
pain is almost completely gone. If the pain persists or gets worse I would
contact your surgeon. Hope this helps.

I'm 20 days post op and my "orange" on my left side is now an
"egg." I guess soon it will be a "gumdrop." I still
have very very little pain. And no, I don't think you can move too much
too soon. The first day after surgery I walked those hallways non-stop and
was released the very next day. Keep moving! Stay healthy and peace!
