Question:
Does lipo-tropic injections,Diethylpropion,Phentermine,Phendimetrazine work?

Does the lipo-tropic injections,Diethylpropion,Phentermine,Phendimetrazine combination work? I live in Georgia, and there is a weight loss clinic here that offers this combination as part of their weight loss program. The lipo-tropic injections are comprised of Choline,Methione, and Inositol. And what about heart palpitations? Will these substances irritate your heart? I am 52yrs old, am 5'4 1/2" and I'm looking to lose 60lbs to feel better and to make exercising easier; not to mention to assist in getting rid of back and neck pain, and high cholesterol (I stay over 200).    — Marvansmom (posted on August 25, 2011)

If any answers to this I would like to know also. Trying to kick start my weightloss and not getting no-where. My niece does these and she's lost 60 lbs. But she lives in another town far from me and I have not seen her or heard from her since she started taking the shots and vitamins. This has been over 4 months ago and she does not exercise except she walks a lot on her job she says. I think she told me she had to pay $25 a week or every two weeks for the shot and her vitamins cost about $40. Her insurance does not cover it. I have medicare only and want to know if anyone on medicare has done this? Irish aka Ms Pisces

This does work! I did it years ago before I had my RNY done back in August 09'. However, it is very costly & if you don't keep going & getting those injections you will gain all that weight back. I am proof of that. I did loose 60lbs also, but I gained it back plus some when I couldn't afford to keep going to the clinic. Therefore, this is good for short term weight loss goals, but for the long haul you need to change your way of thinking & feeling about food. I am not going to say that RNY is the answer for everyone, but it was the only way that I lost 142 lbs & have kept it off. If I had more discipline though, I would have never done it. From what I notice that changed about me after surgery, I can only eat half of my plates. CUT YOUR SERVINGS IN HALF and you WILL lose weight. Stop living to eat, & eat to live.
