Question:
Can I sleep in bed night of post-op lap band?
Lap Band surgery today and I forgot to ask the doctor if I could sleep in bed tonight. I had read people sleep in recliners after surgery. I am so tired and can't sleep on the recliner. Any help please? — suegee936 (posted on May 3, 2011)

The people who slept in recliners did so because it felt better to them.
I slept in my bed, but I did nap in the recliner a good bit.

hi! I slept in the bed after lapband surgery without any difficulty. I did
discover it helped to have a body pillow and a pillow with arm rests to
help adjust in the bed, and avoid sleeping on my stomach, which is my usual
sleep position.

It has been almost 4 years, but I remember sleeping in my own bed. I was
very paranoid about "hurting" something, so I was cautious and
didn't sleep on my stomach for many months. I went from a size 26 to an 8
or 10. I can easily feel my port, which grosses me out, and am therefore
still a little cautious. I don't like things to touch it or rub it. I'm
sure you'll be able to sleep wherever you like.
