Question:
How long were you in the hospital for your paniculectomy &/or breast reduction?
My surgery is scheduled for 3/30/11. Would like an idea of how long to expect to be in the hospital. Thanks. — Donna O. (posted on February 22, 2011)

I had mine done in Boston at the end of 2007... I spent one nite in the
hospital. They could have kept me another nite, but it was Christmas Eve
and I wanted to get home to my family. It's tough for the first week and a
half, but then each day it gets easier....... and yes I am very glad that I
had it done !! (Paniculectomy with muscle plication, breast lift and
augmentation).. Good luck ! Karen

I got a post pot infection after my paniculectomy as the drain came out to
soon , I was back in surgery after 4 weeks I was in hospital about 3 days
each time. However I haveteh surgery before my band due to problems now I
am down 80 pounds and I am going to have it done again with a breast
reduction and hysto. Even though I had problems th efirst time I am so glad
I did it as it allowed me to go back to activities I could not do . This
time I am looking to balance out my body.

I had a tummy tuck and breast lift and was in the hospital one night (1-1/2
days total). Either my brain was thinking about something else when the
nurse said 'you cannot take a bath or shower for 6 weeks and you cannot
take off the girdle you must wear even to go to the toilet' and omg! After
my 6 weeks was up I soaked in the tub until I wrinkled.

Hi, I had breast reduction and T incision tummy tuck 7/6/08. I was there at
6 am and home at 6 pm. Ask about a pain pump implant that is removed at 1
week. Took about 9 weeks to stand up straight but I would do it all over
again! I was 62 years old at the time and 16 months out from RNY. Insurance
covered the breast reduction but not the tummy tuck but it was worth every
penny!!!!! Good Luck!

I had my tummy tuck and went home that evening with drain in. returned to
dr. following week to have it removed. They do suggest you spend the night
but I was self pay and didn't want the added expense. It was no an easy
surgery but I would do it again. I've also had gastric bypass and it was
MUCH easier surgery that the tummy tuck!
