I was told to eat 600-800 calories a day
to eat 1-2 ounces of food while losing weight. Once you reach goal you can
increase the amounts. Hugs, kim

Hi Lynn. I am post op RNY 14 months now, and have maintained 140 lb weight
loss since October. I never have and still do not count calories at all.
I focus primarily on amounts of foods. I do not ever go over 1 cup of food
at a time, and often keep it at about 3/4 of a cup...and I eat something
approximately every 2 hours. At 8 months you should still be eating
primarily proteins. As long as you are making healthy choices (Baked,
broiled, grilled), you shouldn't have to worry about the calories. If you
are in doubt or feeling unsure, ask your Nut. I wish you much luck and
success.
