Question:
Tommorow I am meeting with a NUTRITIONIST as part of the pre-op insurance process.
What does she want to hear from me in order to give me her approval for the WLS? Thx — quest4 (posted on July 28, 2010)

She will probably want a diet history of what you have eaten the last
several days, what diets you have tried, how long, etc. I would tell the
truth in all things.
She won't have the final say. Good luck. Jane

The problem is that all insurance companies are different. My insurance is
Kaiser, they make you jump through alot of hoops, (which I am now seeing is
a GOOD thing)and I went to see a dietician through Kaiser simply because I
needed to document an attempt at weight loss for 3 months. Others might
make it a requirement. When I saw the dietician, I had to show a food log
of what I ate every day, he would suggest what I change and that went on
for 3 months then I was done jumping through that hoop. I hope it works out
for you. good luck!
