If it's in folds of excess skin, you might have a case for insurance to
cover skin removal. If not, you might consider seeing another
dermatologist or getting a test for allergies. Ingredients in most
deoderants cause my husband to have an allergic reaction -- on his legs of
all places. Good luck.

I'm sorry but I don't know what a demo doctor is. If I had a rash I would
see my primary physician and if she couldn't help me I'd go see a
dermatologist. I'd go see my primary physician first because my surgeon is
4 hours away and that's where the nearest dermatologist is as well
(sometimes it's a blessing living in the boonies and sometimes it sucks).
I agree it sounds like it's from loose skin or a reaction to medications.
However you need to see a specialist. We are not doctors here (for the
most part) and even if we were we wouldn't diagnose without seeing you and
asking more questions.

Check with your bariatric surgeon. It may be related to a viatamin
deficiency, even if you are taking all of the recommended vitamins.
Hopefully, he is doing a close follow-up with your nutritional status. I
think we are an odd bunch. Doctors who can treat folks who have not had
the surgery, forget about the possiblity of problems related to nutritional
problems and mal-absobtion. Oral medicine is a problem also. Doctors seem
to forget we can't absorb meds in the same way. So, if you are taking an
anti-histimine for the rash, you might not be getting the correct amount
into your body because of the surgery. I would try talking to a pharmicist
or again, the bariatric surgeon who did you surgery. Good luck.

I had a co-worker with something that sounds similar. After rounds of
antihistamines, steroids, etc., she finally got her doctor to do a skin
scraping. They found out it was due to mites, microscopic bugs, on her
skin. She was an ultra-clean person, house kept impeccable, and still had
it. Not saying yours is the same, but I know it took awhile for her to get
her doctor to check for that.
