Question:
Is there a posting etiquette guide?
I don't get many responses to my posting. I try to encourage others by responding. Am I doing something wrong? — Annie M. (posted on April 22, 2010)

I do not know if there is a guide. Keep posting and encouraging it is
always appreciated.

Hi ! Yes keep asking questions..eventually someone will see them and
answer. I answer the questions I think I can be of help with. And I miss
some days as I am not always able to get on. But do keep posting and yes
encouraging others to be successful on this journey is what its all about!
Support is key! Have a great day!

Good morning. I find that coming to OH encourages and motivates me even if
I don't get a response to my own postings. Or hear back from the person I
tried to encourage for the day. It makes me feel good to try to help
others who are on this same journey, keeps me focused and helps me keep in
the forefront of my mind where I came from on this journey and how healthy
I am now. I have a lot to be thankful for. If I can just encourage 1
person each time I come here then I am grateful. God Bless. Jodi

You might want to join a 'group' if you are looking for support. Or
possibly a state forum. I find I get more of a response on those. Just a
suggestion.

Ann, if you are posting just on the MAIN WL forum, you may not get as many
responses. That was my experience anyway. If you aren't doing it, try
posting on the RNY forum. That might help. Whatever you do keep posting. It
is always encouraging and helps other to learn from your experience.

i find the opposite the main forum on this site gets alot of answers. i am
there everyday and only come to this section maybe once a week. i always
answer any questions i can. if its someone just talking generally there
really isnt much to say cause not questions. if you would like you can
friend request me and message me anytime you like i would be happy to
answer like i said im on this site daily. i have done a ton of homework and
gone thru so many profiles and talked to so many i know quite a bit if i
dont know i will tell you. really the only ones i dont answer is if its
about specific questions dealing with another surgery other than RNY what i
had but if its a general questions that can pertain to any wls patient ill
be glad to help. hugs....kim

Hi Ann, I am sorry you are not getting the answer you need...but it is
better to not get any than to get incorrect. I think that would be the
only reason on here to not get an answer. Do you have a group you attend?
Dont stop asking questions..you need the help ask. Wish you well!

I don't always get answers either. However, I try to answer questions that
I think I can add something to. One thing that I noticed is that I find
some answers in my inbox on my home page that don't get sent to my actaul
e-mail address so keep track of the messages on your home page. I had RNY
in 2008 and would be more than happy to help with anything that I can.
Just e-mail me directly if you can't get an answer here.
