Question:
not a question but a prayer request
dear OH family-this is not inregard to my upcoming WLS but a request for prayers on behalf of my son. He has been ill for quite sometime, he is 20 years old, finally we are getting some answers, but not exactly what we want to hear. There is a possibily that a CT scan is showing a malignacy in his lungs. The radiologist cannot determine for sure what he is seeing on the CT and chest x-ray. The findings show that it is consistant with a malignacy or an atypical pneumonia. We hope to be able to get him in to a pulmonologist tomorrow.I just wanted to ask for your prayers on his behalf( and mine and my husbands) that the diagnosis will not be cancerous. We are quite scared right now and feel the best answer at this time is to turn this over to God and pray for an infection. thank you all so much. I am a nurse and well of course i can only think of bad things this could mean. I am trying to be positive but it is quite hard at this time. again many thanks for your prayers. Cora, I will praying for you here in Missouri, I am so sorry to hear this.
I had a lung scare myself and still do not know. They found a piece in my
lung and biopsied it a few years ago right before my wls. I was scared to
death, shaking in my shoes. They told me it was non cancerous and that
since I live in Missouri that some people have this and do not know it.
Mine was caught on a chest xray. Mine is from some type of fungus that I
caught from the trees or something like that and probrably did not know I
was even sick. Well, then I got ready to have another surgery this past
summer and they found it again, but said that it had grown. I went to a
cancer specialist and he said that it is some type of fungus growth, but it
had grown a teeny bit. Well, I go back tommorow to see this cancer doctor
who is a thoracic doctor and he said that I might to consider getting
surgery to have it removed, before it gets to be bigger it is less than 3cm
right now, but if I wait and it grows it will be more of a bigger problem
to get it out. It is located in my right lung on the bottom. This is very
scarey so I will be praying for your son. He is so young. I just turned 45
on dec 28th and have been a smoker since being a teenager and this
probrably my fault. I know smoking is bad for you and all, but for me it
acts as an anti depressant. I suffer from Panic Attacks, post tramatic
stress syndrome, and depression, but have learned to deal with it somewhat
and only take 1 pill for it. I hate taking medicine. It also took alot of
psycho therapy for me. It was not easy. Never knew I had all this pent up
inside of me for so long. Anyway, God Bless you and your family!

Cora-
Illinois has you, your son ,and your husband in our prayers.
As a former clerk, now in billing of a major hospital, I know having more
knowledge than most can sometimes be very nervewraking as you have more
possiblities to worry about. But since you've asked for prayer, I know you
know our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I ask him now to keep your family
in his arms, keep you all from evil, and that his will be done. Give this
loving family all the strength necessary to carry this burden, guide the
medical staff with your wisdom and send angels down from heaven to surround
this family so they can feel your love. Amen
Love, Jennifer

Your right to turn to God and our God is a healing God. In His word it says
"by His stripes we are healed" and that our God loves His people
so He heals them. Don't trust your knowledge or what you see but put your
faith and trust in the Lord. He can bring perfect peace and perfect
healing.
God Bless Lisa
