Hello Lisa,
You will have to see what works for you. I usually over load on vitamin C
-- you might want to try the Dayquil/Nyquil combo. Since you are a year
out -- there isn't anything that will hurt you unless you are allergic to
something. But put down a lot of vitamin C and that will help you
tremendously -- stay hydrated. I take Ester C on the daily -- once in the
morning and at night. I don't think you can get too much Vitamin C

Lisa, I'm 9 years out. For colds I use what I've always used since
post-op, Triaminic Orange for day time and Triaminic Nite Lite (purple) for
night time. I take 4 tsp. instead lf 2 tsp. and it works great. Not too
much sugar, and the Orange d/n make me sleepy during the day.

You should call your surgeon and ask what he or she recomends. You might
also want to take Pepcid OTC or something similar to prevent irritation to
your pouch. Good luck.

I haven't been able to take any cold meds for several yrs now due to
asthma. I got a cold a few wks ago and it was the lightest, easiest cold i
have ever had. this time i took c & zinc lozenges and Zicam as soon as
i started feeling the symptoms. I will use this from now on when i get a
cold. It was the BEST!I got over the cold faster, and the symptoms were FAR
EASIER to deal with then ever before. My son got a cold shortly afte mine
set in, so i started giving it to him, and his cold was a abreeze as well.
Good luck!

You can take ANY Tylenol product. It is probably the only product that
makes something for every aliment and bonus...it won't hurt your new pouch.
