I don't know who I offended by my statement. In fact, if you were, you did not understand what I said. I never said that we don't need each other. It's GOOD to hear each other's concerns. And YES I am bragging on MY DOCTORS AND NURSES. I guess some may have not been as fortunate as I have but to portray this type of image is very judgmental and that is not who I am. I have to agree with you about bragging about my surgeon's and nurses...They were AWESOME! I had absolutely NO complications and had a very successful easy surgery and continue to have excellent results! Always remember, you can't please all of the people all of the time. God bless and continued success!

Ditto on the "bragging". My team of WLS surgical specialist are second to none (in my eyes--I'm certain others feel the same about theirs). Brag, yes. It is unfortunate to think that not everyone receives the same kind of education and care in regards to such a very big event in their lives. But, along with that, it seems to me that a WLS canidate would want to self-educate as much as possible. Good luck to all those you are starting out and those on the bench!

Gretchen, Don't worry about the negative feedback. This is America after all and you are entitled to your opinion. Some will agree with you like I did and some will not. You posted a question and you get a wide selection of answers that represent the wide variety of people here at OH. I just hope there aren't people pm'ing you with negative responses. That would be a little overkill. You deserve support too... so here it is :)
