Your profile states you had surgery about 3 months ago. Some people will
have a hard time drinking colder fluids, and complain of stomach pain. This
ma be your problem. I'm just guessing here, as your post was really brief.
I get some discomfort in the pouch area if I've eaten something and then
have to drive my vehicle somewhere. But it's not pain, just discomfort.

No "stinging" sensation in my pouch.
Discomfort...fullnes..slight nausea, yes.
Probably should have it checked out. Do you see your surgeon for
followups?

Are you thinking this is maybe heart burn? Try gas x or tums. That
sometimes helps me if that is what your are talking about.
Is it while you eat or after? Maybe not taking small enough bites or
eating too much.
Is it just while you drink? Are you drinking through a straw because we
are not suppose to (not saying that I do not sometimes) but it is not
recommened. Are you gulping your drinks that can cause discomfort?
Let me know respond back to me and I can help more

Hi,
As others have mentioned, your posting didn't give surgery information. I
can remember that my rny procedure was followed by some stinging. I can't
remember if it was my pouch, or only seemed as though it was in that
general area. I did ask my surgeon about it. He stated that the stinging
was actually caused from the cutting of the tissue....the incision cuts
through nerves, and the stinging was the regrowth (reconnection) of the
nerves during the healing process.
I'm not sure if this is what your's is from since I don't know if you had
an open RNY or a lap procedure. I think you'll feel better if you at least
phone your surgeon's office and ask.
Good luck and welcome to the losing side of LIFE!!!!!

Ok all, I have to apologize. I didn't realize that the grammar in my
posting was terrible until after I hit submit! I do wish there was a way
to edit our answers on here.
