You really need to ask your surgeon directly. hat we were told. After the
surgery were at great risk for blood clots, which can kill. Now sitting for
extended periods and the common dehydration after surgery make clots much
more likely. So we were instructed and get up and walk at least 15 minutes
in each hour of of riding in a car, and thats 15 minutes each hour, so ride
45 then must stop get out and walk.
so your 3 hour car ride might take 4 hours, but its safer and sip sip sip
water the entire time. Swimming wasnt allowed till ALL the incisions were
completely healed and at least wait a month. These were MY surgeons
directions at the time, you need to ask these questions too.
