Question:
I am mixing
As you all said i can mix a non-flavored protein powder with anything. I have tried this with jello and pudding. It turns out horrible. It is always clumpy and yes I do have a magic bullet and so far not that impressed as i still have the same problem i had before with the clumpiness. It also changes the texture of the food. Could you tell me what i am doing wrong? — missyheffelfinger (posted on March 25, 2007)

you do not put it in when you are making it. Add it when you are going to
eat it. Try that and it will be ok at least that is what i do !!!!! Good
Luck

I tried the non-flavored protein powder too. Everything I put it in was
awful expect grits. I dont know how far out you are but I wasnt able to
eat grits until one month after surgery. Even then they would sometimes
make me sick.

I sometimes add a babana and some cinnamon, sometimes blueberries,
sometimes ... to my protein powder shakes. The important thing is to add
something that YOU like. I get tired of the same old formula day after day
so I try different things for variety. If I need extra sweetness, I use
Splenda. As for "clumpiness" I eliminate this by using a good
blender. My blender is one of the best but still does not get the job 100%
done to my satisfaction (maybe 95%), so I follow up with an *immersion
blender* treatment to get up to "99.44% pure" (like Camay,
nothing in this world is 100% perfect). All this makes the concoction very
smooth and adds air to the mixture which, to me, enhances the taste as
well. (For liquid I use skim milk or a juice such as cranberry.) --- Hand
shaking in one of those bar shakers that are sold for the purpose never
gets the all the clumpiness out. Spend some money and buy a good electric
blender (and maybe an immersion blender too).
