Kelly- I used to work at a military installation (until a couple of months
ago) the only adivce I have pertains to the one I worked at- the surgeons
who did these types of surgiers were general surgeons who did them
occasionally and the preop educational program was very short (I had a
years work up outside so was well prepared for what was to come)- while
they were good general surgeons they had limited experience with bariatric
surgery and I have seen several friends have from minor to major problems
post op. For my health and peace of mind I would go to a specialty surgeon
who does these type of surgeries on a routine basis.
