Question:
Anyone on here a patient of Dr. Samuel Cox?
I am on medicaid and Dr. Cox is the only surgeon I can find that will take it for surgery, even though he is 650 miles away from me. I have already made one trip there and have started the pre-op testing and have been aproved by medicaid. Now I am being informed that all medicaid surgerys (wls) are on hold until after Jan.1 because the hospital isnt wanting to accept medicaid for it anymore. Can they do That? If anyone is a patient of his, going through the same thing or not, Id love to talk to you. Thanks!! — justaboutkrazy (posted on December 9, 2005)

contact the administrator of the medicaid system in your state, there are
law that govern what hospitals will be obliged to do if they want to accept
funding for the new lobby or lounge for the executives lunch room, you
cannot fight this but the bureaucracy can.

I do not think a hospital can refuse to take medicade. That is a goverment
insurance. I would look into it more. Call the hospital administrator. See
what they have to say about it.

Hi, I tried to answer the email you wrote to me in December, but you email
is bouncing. I updated my profile to reflect what has happened lately. I've
been told cancelled surgeries will start being rescheduled starting the end
of January. Personally, I think what we've been told about these delays are
so much BS, although, without proof, I don't want to post my reasons for
thinking so here. Good luck!
