Question:
I have only lost 65 lbs.
I had gastric bypass 12/4/10 & a Hysterectomy 8/15/11 & only lost 65 lbs. Is this normal to only have lost such little weight? I have fibromyalgia and I am so tired I don't feel like doing anything. Any suggestions? — goofynay (posted on March 3, 2013)

It depends on what your weight was pre-surgery. What was it? If you
weren't that overweight before, 65 pounds may be normal. You also might
not be getting enough protein, or enough exercise. There really could be
any number of things preventing you from losing weight, including your
hysterectomy. I would definitely also contact your bariatric
surgeon/doctor or even your primary and discuss your concerns with them, as
they will have access to all of the pertinent information needed to solve
this dilemma. Best of luck to you, and we're here to help!
