Personally I wouldn't try it after reading up on what this is. It sounds
positively dangerous to your health. Plus, my first hesitation came from
what it is called: a DIET. I made a lifestyle change when I had surgery
and I accepted early on that I received a tool that would help me to make
healthy food choices and portion control. My obesity has damaged my health
enough as it was so I darn sure won't continue that trend with crazy fad
diets" that will only part me from my money and very possibly from
this life. Injections of hormones is NOT the way to go to lose weight. Most
of us will always battle the weight demon. You can still lose weight by
modifying your food intake and exercise. I would invest in a personal
trainer and a nutritionist first. Check out the back-on-track-together
forum here on OH. There are many that are in the same situation as you and
they more than willing to help you reach your goal by sharing what they've
learned. As another OH member has said, "You can do hard
things."

I am almost 2 years post-op and have put on 15 pounds recenlty. A few
things to remember:
#1: The more carbs you eat, the more you will crave them.
#2: Stuff yourself on protein
#3: Got the munchies? reach for the protein and fill up on that. Here is a
trick my nutritionist told me to do. I like to nibble on something at
night, like almonds or popcorn. He suggested I get a good quality steak,
marinate it in whatever you like and cook it. Cut it up into cubes and keep
a container of that in the fridge and eat it like you would nuts or
popcorn. The protein will fill you up alot faster, espically the beef as
that is more filling. Just a few of these beef cubes cures my munchies
immediately.
#4: Drink something warm. I find a cup of herbal tea takes away the head
hunger, plus adds to my fluid intake for the day.
