Question:
5 and a half months out, is my weight loss on the right track?
My start weight was 350 and the the day of surgery it was 318. I am now down to 240 pounds which I know is very good but I wanted to make sure that this sounds about right. I have had slowed weight loss for the last 2-3 months. For example, on 12/2/09 I weighed 358 and today on 2/2/2010 I weigh 240. does this sounds like the right pace. I have to admit I have not had any complications or even any major hair loss. I feel very good. — yaziby2005 (posted on February 2, 2010)

You are doing amazing!! I had my surgery around the same time as you (late
July 2009) and started at 322lbs and am down to 250. You are doing great!!
I worry I am not losing it fast enough either but when I was talking to the
nutritionist at the Barix clinic she assured me I was on track and you have
lost even more then me...Good luck!! (you dont want to lose it too fast or
you will have stretchy skin - it also puts you body in panic mode because
the weight loss shocks your body).

You all are doing amazing, I had my surgery on August 13 and so far I have
lost 97lbs and I am pretty much at goal. I have had a lot of eating
issues, I am still not able to eat protein so I supplement with shakes.

Just remember that everyone loses at a different rate. As long as the scale
is going in the right direction, it's all good, right?
