Question:
fills
I had my first fill Nov. 29th and It did not go well. It took 2 doctors and a 1 hour and a half to get a fill. Now I went today(dec22) for my second fill and did not get it cuz the doc. said that my port was flip floping. Now they are going to go back in and fix the port is this a normal thing. Why would have this happened? Would I have done something to cause this to happen? — ljkennison (posted on December 22, 2009)

Hi, no you didn't do anything to cause this, sometimes it just happens. I
had the lab band, and within 1 year (can't remember exactly how long) it
flipped. The surgery is easy... not hard recovery at all. That would
explain why they had a problem filling it the first time. Don't worry, you
and band will do fine once you have the port fixed.

I have a lapband and have not had my port flip, but my daughter has a port
for her IV meds and dialysis and it has flipped before. Was not a big
surgery. Its just one of those things that can happen. Like when my band
slipped nothing i did I was just the unlucky person who had the
possibility. Good luck and God Bless
